What our young people say about missions

“God is working in the lives of countless people at home and abroad. Our purpose is to partner with Him in seeking these ones out. Will you join Him on this adventure?”

E.L.

“Missions might seem like a daunting thing that we aren’t called to, but God’s mandate to make disciples of all nations will always remain. Missions doesn’t begin overseas. It begins in our hearts.”

M.S.

“We have been so blessed to have heard God’s Word and experience His love. It’s only right for us to spread His word to others so that they may come to know Him too. We have been commanded to make disciples of all nations. Remember that missions start here, where you are. It doesn’t have to be overseas. It starts with the people around you.”

J.N.

“Think about the impact God has made on your own life, perhaps you’d be a very different person if you never knew God. Well, there are so many people in the world who don’t know God. But just as God has loved us so much, He loves all the lost people too. And if we’ve seen the impact of God’s love on people’s lives, and we know that God is our only salvation, why wouldn’t we want to share that?

Z.S.

“My involvement in missions started simply with a desire to avail myself to serve. As relationships were built, the desire to go back was fueled by a desire to continue the work that God had started through us, as well as to celebrate with our friends the journeys that God had brought them through since we last met.”

R.O.

“The thing that awed me about the missionaries that we got to know was their boldness in leaving their lives in their home countries in surrender to a calling that God has placed upon their lives.”

M.S.

“Like us, the youths (there) also carried labels of being ‘not good enough’. The same love of God that says, ‘You are worth it’, was also made available to them and we saw how they gladly received it.

R.O.

The missions partners whom I have met over the years were all gifted with such big hearts for God and people. I often wonder what it would be like if they were able to meet one another and how their hearts of loving God and people will resonate so much with each other when they finally meet.”

R.O.

“People have intrinsic worth in God’s eyes, while the world often tells us to look at their extrinsic worth. We need to love them as God sees them.”
