About Missions

Vision

To glorify God by maximising our God-given resources to fulfil the biblical missions mandate to go and make disciples of all nations (Matt 28:19-20) by planting and multiplying disciplemaking church plants (DCPs) through partnerships focusing on Asia first, then worldwide.

Covenant EFC seeks to be a church in missions, not just a church with missions, where:

  1. The church budget significantly testifies to this priority
  2. To promote faith-giving to missions as the Lord blesses us
  3. 10% of church members answer the call and be sent out as missionaries
  4. 90% of church members are involved in praying, giving, mobilising and going on short-term missions trips

Strategy

Following the Great Commission, we are first called to make disciples (intentional disciplemaking) in all nations. Thus the process is: IDADID. At the individual disciple level, this involves evangelism, follow up, discipleship and disciplemaking. At the church level, it calls for the church to have a model to bring this process to pass.

Covenant EFC’s strategic regional focus is Asia first then worldwide.

Following the ID–AD–ID process, we adopt the 5 Missional Thrusts embodied in the acronym HUBET as evangelistic focus (intentional disciplemaking):
